STORE CLERK/OPERATOR

POSITION INFORMATION

The Peachtree City Pak Mail @ Wilshire Pavilion needs a smart, strong, cheerful employee to help with customer service, packing, crating, shipping, records-keeping, filing, and housekeeping.

We hope our new employee will be capable of and interested in training to become the Store Manager.

This position may be part-time and on-call, or full time, depending on the qualifications of the person hired.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
(Please do not apply unless you meet ALL these requirements completely)

• A cheerful, friendly, can-do, team-player attitude
• Punctual, reliable, and attentive
• Ability to deal with a fast-paced, demanding environment
• Computer- and Internet-literacy
• Touch-typing, minimum 35 words per minute
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the work day
• Ability to stand and work hard physically for several hours at a time
• Neat, clean appearance
• No criminal record or serious financial issues that will impact performance
• Excellent references from previous employers
• A valid Georgia driver's license
• Non-smoker or absolutely no smoke detectable during working hours (owner is allergic to   cigarette smoke)
• Commitment to work 5 hours each day.
• Commitment to work a minimum number of regular hours per week.
• Commitment to work 4 hours on Saturdays, 2 or 3 times per month.
• Commitment to work full time plus overtime for 2 weeks during the Christmas season.

IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS
The ideal candidate will have:

• Customer service experience
• Experience using manual and power tools
• Experience building boxes and large, heavy crates
• The strength needed to handle large, heavy, unwieldy items during packing
• Cash register experience
• Packing and shipping experience
• A good reputation in the community
• The desire to help grow the store's revenue and become the Store Manager.

On-the-job training will be provided for the point-of-sale system, shipping rules and regulations, packing and crating, and other knowledge needed.

A background check may be conducted on the top candidate before hiring.
